Set Back

Ashlyn has taken a set back. While we were visiting our girls yesterday, Ashlyn had a spell where she desat. Her vent and oxygen needs were increased significantly. She had to be restarted back on the blood pressure medication. Her urine output is minimal and she is also becoming edematus again. We don't know why little Ashlyn is getting worse again. We really thought things were looking better. All we can do is continue to pray.

  1. Two steps forward, one step back! She will pull through this just as she has with all her other trials. Extra prayers and thoughts for her today!

    Praying for you always,

  2. I'm sorry to hear about little Ashlyn. I continue to pray, but I will pray even harder for her. The set backs may still exist but they will be less intense. The girls are already 30 weeks and this is a milestone in terms of development. Their little bodies are able to handle a lot more at this point. I keep you in my heart and I am sure our Heavenly Father is watching over your family. Hang in there and count on my love and prayers. The precious babies are stronger than we think. Thank you for keeping us posted.
    Love, Claudia

  4. Oh sweet Ashlyn! It's hard to remember that there are still good days and bad days. We have been keeping them in our prayers constantly. You and Thomas are such strong parents. I agree that these babies are much stronger than we realize. Each of them has their own crowd of angels watching over closely and protecting them always. We love you guys!

  6. I am sorry to hear that little Ashlyn is having a setback! I hope she bounces back quickly.

I wanted to let you know that as I sit here preparing a lesson on adversity, and faith in adversity, my mind is on your family quite a bit. I have never known anyone who showed such strength and faith during a time of such adversity in their lives. You have really strengthened my testimony. Thank you! You are all in my prayers every day.

  8. So sorry to hear about Ashlyn's set back. I am continuing to pray for your whole family and I put your familys name on the prayer requests for the Denver Temple. Those girls are going to prove to the doctors that they are suppose to be here. You have so many angels looking over you both and those liitle angels still here fighting. Keep your chin up.

  9. I am praying for Ashlyn. I actually felt last week that her amazing strides forward were what you needed to push forward with renewed hope. She will come through again, supported by your prayers, the prayers of so many and the love of our Savior. She is a precious daughter of God. So are you, Amanda.
