All Will Be Well
Well it looks like Rachel is following her sister's (Ashlyn) footsteps. Rachel has some kind of infection as well and has been having a hard time all day with her blood pressure. It has been low and her oxygen concentration has increased. The doctor has been giving her medications and fluids to help increase the blood pressure. We hope it will work. We really wish the girls could all have a good day together as they make us worry constantly. Ashlyn is doing better, but is still very bloated. She continues to urinate, but not as much as the night before. We again hope that she will pee more. Haley is still doing good. Her vent settings are being weaned and she is still on 30% or so of oxygen. The doctor teased us today and said that maybe we will be able to hold her tomorrow. How wonderful that would be!!! We will just have to see how tomorrow goes for her. Things always seem to change so quick with them. We will continue to leave it in the Lord's hands, he is in charge, he created each of us and He will do what is best for the girls and for us. God has always been there for us, and He will continue to help us through these most difficult times.

Extra prayers for the girls tonight.
I would be honored to release 3 monarchs in rememberence of your sweet angels. I should have 7 or 8 emerge this week. I hope your other 3 keep fighting!

Hang tight - it's a long road, but the rewards along the way make every bit of it so worth it. I was able to feed my sweet baby boy a bottle for the first time today, and while it will never make the roller coaster less scary overall, it certainly did my soul good. I know that you have triple the rewards headed in your direction.

I so excited with the possibility that you may hold Haley tomorrow! How special that will be! I'm confident that if that doesn't happen tomorrow, it will happen soon. I'm so happy for you! Ashlyn and Rachel will soon get there too. Let's continue to be patient, trust Him, and pray even harder. Hang in there, you are getting closer and closer! All my love, Claudia

We pray for you constantly and hope that today you will be able to hold your precious little angel for the first time :)
ReplyDeleteI always admire your faith and I know that the Lord is always in charge. We have felt his strength so many times in our lives as well as we dealt with loss of children. miscarriages and infertility. He closed many doors but many windows came open We now have 3 beautiful kids.
May the Lord continue to bless you!
I hope you hold your sweet girl today! I think of you each time I am blessed to hug my own little one and I pray you have that chance soon!
ReplyDeletePraying for you always,

ReplyDeleteHi Amanda -
ReplyDeleteI just found your blog and wanted to let you know that I am thinking of you and your family. My triplets were born at 25w5 days in June. On August 22 we lost our beautiful daughter Annaleigh to NEC. It was the worst day of my life, and I am so sorry that you have had to experience this 3 times. However, my daughter Lily and son Charlie are thriving after 79 days in the NICU and may be coming home as early as next week. Keep chugging along - you and your babies are strong.

Hi Amanda-Just wanted to know that I think about your family everyday. I was in the mother of multiples in The Woodlands and now going to join in Kingwood. My twin girls were born at 25 weeks in Jan 09, and we spent 105 and 119 days in the NICU. My twin Halie has suffered a lot through this journey with a PVL, suspected NEC, optic nerve hypoplasia and the list continues. I know you have a lot of people you can talk to but just want you to know that you are not alone. Keep strong!!! God does amazing things, he has already with my two girls!! Would be glad to talk if you need anything...allison.miller@hp.com. Heard that you had joined the mother's of mulitples in Kingwood, would love to meet you some day!
