Stansel Journey: 15 Week Update

15 Week Update

How many weeks? I am 15 weeks. The baby weighs approximately 4oz and is the size of an apple. From the ultrasound I had this past week the baby is growing well and everything looks good. We still don't know 100% what the gender is yet.

How am I feeling? Still with some nausea, but I'm making it. Hoping the nausea will start to decrease now that I'm 15 weeks. I'm still tired, but I'm busy most days with the girls. The tiredness is partly due to the pregnancy.

Doctors appointment? No not this week. I went to 2 appointments last week (my OB and a perinatologist for a higher level ultrasound). See the ultrasound pictures below.

Weight gain? Yes I have gained approximately 6 pounds.

Cravings? Not really. I usually eat what I'm in the mood for.

I had 2 ultrasounds this past week. My OB does an ultrasound every time I see him. I love seeing our baby move. We were able to see the baby sucking its thumb and moving/waving its hand. It was so wonderful to see our little miracle on ultrasound.

Ohh my heck- I've been off of the computer for a few weeks, and I just popped in to see your wonderful announcement! I'm so happy for you guys!!! Congratulations! :) Can't wait to see this new little miracle.

About Us

Thomas and I were married in January 2007 in Houston, Texas. About 8 months later, we were excited to start a family. After a diagnosis of infertility due to PCOS and endometriosis, we were devastated. With the help of infertility treatments we were blessed with twin boys (Brian and Brendan), but unfortunately lost them at 18 weeks due to an incompetent cervix. Unwilling to give up on our dream to have a family, we tried again, but our second try resulted in an ectopic pregnancy. On our third try we were surprisingly expecting sextuplets. On August 4, 2009 at 22 weeks 6 days, we welcomed 4 girls and 2 boys - Haley, Braden, Dallin, Ashlyn, Rachel and Kaitlyn. Our sweet angels Braden, Dallin, Ashlyn and Kaitlyn passed away and returned to our loving Heavenly Father. We have been so blessed to have Haley and Rachel at home with us. They have been home from the NICU since February 2010. They are doing well and growing. They are miracles! We love them and have been so blessed!

We have been so blessed to have added another miracle baby to our family. Kayla was born December 9, 2011. She was born at 36 weeks, 5 days. She is a precious miracle and we are so glad she joined our family.

Our last little miracle, Brandon Thomas joined our family on December 14, 2015. He was born at 36 weeks, 5 days. He was 9 pounds, 7 oz (big boy)! He has spina bifida, but he is doing well. He is such a happy boy!! We love our little boy and are so blessed to have him in our family.
