Rachel is HOME!!!

It has been a busy past couple of days with the girls. They both are doing really well at home. They are becoming acquainted with each other as they have been apart from each other since October. They bring so much joy and fun to our little family.

It's official Rachel Diane Stansel has come home finally. It has been a long journey with her in the hospital almost 7 months. We are so happy she is home. She had a great first night home. She even slept through the night. Rachel loves to just look around and see what is all around her. She seems to enjoy being at home. Well it is either she enjoys being home, or she is so excited to finally be out of the hospital. She continues to grow like a weed. She was weighed today at the pediatricians office. She is now 10lbs 14oz. She is becoming such a big girl. We love her so much.

Rachel ready to go home

Little Haley continues to hang strong at home. She also was weighed today at the pediatricians office, she is now 10lbs 3oz. She continues to have her days and nights mixed up, but we are working with her on that. Haley is so feisty, we always thought Rachel was the more feisty one, but Haley gives her a run for her money. We are so blessed to have Haley with us. She brings so much happiness to us. We love and cherish her as well.

We finally got a first family photo and photos of both girls together!

  13. Well glad to hear they are both home and finally getting to meet one another! That is a blessing for sure. How nice that Rachel slept through the night - but don't expect that for long! LOL. Preemies take much longer to adapt to sleeping through the night.

Congrats again - they are both very sweet little girls.

  14. Oh my gosh how wonderful. What a true miracle to have these beautiful girls. I have followed your story since the beginning.
If you don't mind my asking, what are some of the challenges the girls are facing for the future. I know Haley has sight problems and hopefully that is all.
It is just so fascinating that the micro preemies born these days do so well.

  30. What wonderful news! You must be on cloud 9! Hoping you are able to get some sleep soon. For us, our preemies are far better sleepers than our f/t babies were, so there's hope! Enjoy these first days at home, and take lots of pics!! Congrats!!!!!!!!!!

  31. YEAH!!! I love the picture of Miss Rachel looking around in her car seat as she heads home. It is so wonderful that they are both home now and that you can snuggle them whenever you want and they can hang out with each other.

I love their matching outfits. Having twin girls..I find that I LOVE to dress them alike or at least in the same outfit sometimes different colors. I know I better enjoy this because someday I am sure they will not let me do it anymore!!!

Congrats!! again on having your family back together!!!
