Three Months Old!
Today Haley and Rachel are three months old or 36 weeks gestation. Time sure has flown by. Even though it has been an emotional roller coaster ride the past three months it has gone by faster than I though it would. So many wonderful things have happened the past 3 months for Haley and Rachel. They have made good progress. 1. They are on full feeds and off the TPN. 2. They got off the ventilator and onto the cpap. They are still on cpap and doing well. 3. They have made it to 5 pounds. 4. They are able to maintain their own body temperature. 4. They get to wear cute clothes. We are so grateful for the big accomplishments as well as for the the little ones. Before we know it another month will go by and little Haley and Rachel will be home with us. We continue to look forward to the day we bring them home and get to raise them. The best is yet to come. We love our little girls so very much and have been so blessed.

ReplyDeleteThat is so much progress - especially when you put it all together like that! Has there been any talk of trying bottle feeds?
ReplyDeleteThree months, 'ey. Don't get cocky guys, you've still gotta raise 'em when they get out of the hospital. I promise you, that'll be a lot more work! ;^)

Everytime I celebrate a new month with our baby Kaylee I think of your little girls since they were born on the same day. I can't wait until they can go home to you guys and of course it will be hard but you will love every minute of it!
ReplyDeleteJust a friendly warning...my 26 weekers are still in the hospital 16 weeks later, and have had minimal issues considering their early arrival. I had hoped for them to be home by their due date but homecoming has been a moving target due to feeding issues, hypertension etc. Hopefully yours will come home sooner but be prepared for anything.
ReplyDeleteYeah, yeah, yeah!!! So happy to hear the good news. I hope and pray that it will continue and they'll be home free in a month! They are adorable and I'm so glad they're growing and making progress everyday. Glad you get to hold them so often. Keep up the good work.
