Time seems to be flying by since our beautiful little girls have been home with us. We can't believe it has already been a month since the girls have both been home together. We just love having them home with us. They bring us so much joy and happiness. They both seem to be progressing nicely. I am amazed with their progression to this point. They both seem to control their heads much better. They both love their fingers. They suck on them like there is no tomorrow. They both seem to move their arms and legs really well, especially Haley who had the grade 4 head bleed. We know the girls have a lot of therapy (physical and occupational) ahead of them, but we are doing all we can to help the girls. We try to do daily exercises with them to help with their range of movement and to help strengthen their muscles. We do not know what lies ahead for our girls in regards to their physical and neurological challenges, but we do know we will except what ever it may be. The Lord has blessed us so very much. We have our two beautiful girls who mean the world to us. We know the Lord has watched over them and will continue to do so; For these are his daughters and we are accountable to him as to what we do with the responsibilities and privileges He has given to Thomas and I to raise these little girls. Both girls have their own unique personality, they are different from each other, but yet they are so alike in some ways. We are enjoying the journey as parents. We will continue to strive to do all we can to help our girls develop and grow. One thing they both will always know is who they are and where they came from. They will know that they are daughters of a loving Heavenly Father, who sent them to mortality to not only gain a body but to gain experience, knowledge, and testimonies of a living Heavenly Father and of his Son Jesus Christ. To whom we owe all for their matchless love to us and to our little Rachel and Haley.
Here are some pictures of my attempt at a photo shoot with both girls together dressed in pretty pink dresses. As you can see it didn't go well. Little Haley was upset. The individual pictures of the girls turned out better.

I'm glad to see them doing well!
ReplyDeleteHaley looks SO STINKIN' CUTE with Daddy holding her up! Little butterball! Awwww! SO adorable! You guys make BEAUTIFUL babies! :D
ReplyDeleteIt is a good thing that they are moving their arms and legs freely. We were told that it is a primary sign that when a premature baby does not kick it's legs, that there could be a motor problem. This was true for my son who has cerebral palsy. Isn't it a good feeling when all is going well?
ReplyDeleteYour daughters are beautiful! What an amazing gift from God!

They are so beautiful with those big chubby cheeks!
ReplyDeletewhat gorgeous little girls!!!
ReplyDeleteGetting pictures of one baby is hard enough; two is nearly impossible! Thanks for the effort, though - Haley still looks cute when she is angry. I know that you and Thomas will do everything you can to help your girls live up to their potential, and that's great. I've learned from my preemie daughter that having committed parents can make a big difference in their development. So keep up the good work, and enjoy!
ReplyDeleteThey are just beautiful in their pink dresses
ReplyDeleteI love their chubby cheeks.
Precious..precious babies !!!
You are blessed :)
Wait until you try to get pictures of them when one begins walking and the other can barely stand alone. I had to lean one against the wall while enticing the other NOT to walk toward me. I had to stop laughing before I could take the shot.

I think Rachel looks just like Thomas. I am so glad you are both having so much with the girls at home, what a joy that must be! Congrats and I hope all continues to go well!
ReplyDeleteOh YAY! THey look so beautiful in their Easter dresses! I'm happy things are getting back to normal (as normal as it is to have twin baby girls). They are completely adorable and will always be in our prayers.
