Kayla is 17 months old

Ok so again I'm late about a week on this update.  Can't seem to keep up on things lately.  Well on May 9, Kayla turned 17 months old.  I can't believe she will be an 18 month old in less than a month now!  It makes me sad that my baby is growing up.  But I am enjoying her at this stage.  She is learning and growing so much and so fast!  I am so blessed to have little Kayla.  I love her and her sisters so much!  I can't thank Heavenly Father enough for her.

So in some of the pictures I took, Kayla is not too happy.  She didn't want to cooperate for the indoor, in front of the backdrop pictures.  It was hard to get her to look at the camera as well.  Oh well, I got some really cute pictures nonetheless.

At 17 months (May 9), Kayla weighed 20 pounds, 10 ounces.  Yes she finally made it to 20 pounds!  As for her eating, she is eating like a typical toddler.  She loves cheese, raisins, applesauce, mandarin oranges, yogurt, fish sticks and hot dogs (I cut them up very small).  I'm surprised at how much meat Kayla likes and eats.  Kayla definitely doesn't like vegetables.  What kid does??  When I give her peas, carrots, etc, she typically throws them on the floor.  She also loves her sippy cup with her whole milk.

Kayla's language is really blossoming!  She is saying more and more words or at least closer to some words.  She is saying "bye bye", "ball", "dog", "bath", "shoes", "uh oh" and of course "mama" and "dada".

Kayla is a drama queen.  She can definitely throw some temper tantrums and boy can she scream when she is wanting something she can't have.  I have a little diva on my hands!  She is a very happy, outgoing, fun loving little girl.  She loves her sisters so much!  She enjoys playing with them.  I love seeing them all playing and laughing together.

Kayla continues to sleep well at night.  I'm so lucky!  She sleeps a good 12 hours at night.  Kayla has to have one of her little blankets with her when she sleeps.  I find her putting it in her mouth often throughout the day as well.  Its her "security blanket".  She doesn't use a pacifier or suck her thumb, but she does have her security blankets.
