19 Week Update / It's a Girl!

Yep we are having another girl!!!  Rachel and Haley are going to have a little sister.  How exciting to have 3 girls.  They will have fun growing up together.  We were hoping for a boy, but really I'm happy.  The baby is healthy and growing well so that is what's most important.  I'm excited to get to use some of the cute girly clothes again that Rachel and Haley have outgrown.  I'm glad I've keep the clothes they have outgrown.  To say the least we are prepared.

How many weeks?  I'm 19 weeks.

How am I feeling?  I'm feeling good most days.  I'm finding that I'm hungry a lot!  When I get really hungry and my blood sugar gets low then I will feel nauseous.  I think I'm probably going to have to get used to having nausea here and there through out this pregnancy.  I'm still sleeping well, though I still get tired earlier than before I got pregnant.

Weight gain?  11 pounds total.

Doctor's appointment?  No not this week.  At my appointment last week my doctor said my cervix is still looking good and the baby is looking good on the ultrasound.  She is growing.  My doctor also said that I needed to be drinking more water.  I have never been a good water drinker so I'm really trying to get more water down.  Any tips?

Baby preparation?  We are working at getting the room ready.  The room she will be in was our office so we have moved out the desk and bookcase to our dinning room.  I don't have a dinning room table so the dinning room is perfect for our office.  That is about all we have done to get ready for her.  We still have to get a crib and dresser.

  2. I am so excited for you! that is great! we are in the process of adopting for a second child, and I found a gorgeous crib on craig's list. Most of the times when I checked craig's list, I didn't like the cribs I saw, but just got lucky one day when I randomly checked it, so it's worth checking out! :)

  3. Congratulations! As for the water thing I have found it most helpful to buy bottled water. Something that not pregnant I don't do since it isn't very green :) I have just found this pregnancy that the more accessible good tasting water is the more apt I am to drink it. I keep several bottles in my car as well as 6-10 bottles in the fridge. I just buy it at Costco and then recycle the bottles when I'm done. Also whenever I go through Starbucks I always also order a venti ice water (it's free) with my treat.

  5. I've been visiting and following your story ever since you were expecting the sextuplets, I just don't comment much. :)

Regarding the water, put a heaping tablespoon of Country Time Lemonade in each 8 ozs. of water. It will flavor the water, and also give you a little sugar boost to keep your blood sugar from getting too low. Also, make sure your water is really cold. There is nothing worse than trying to drink lukewarm water!

  6. For the water can you add a flavor packet? That is how I get my water in! I really don't enjoy plain old water so I usually drink it with Crystal Light or there is a new one out called MIO that is really tasty you just add a few drops to your water and it taste great! I find them in the grocery store next to the powdered juices usually. I hope that helps. Propell also makes a good one that is way better for you than gatorade because it does not have any sugar in it.

  7. Great news! All three girls will be the perfect company for each other. They will play together, like the same toys, enjoy the same things, and have the same type of activities. It will be easier for you. How exciting! Congratulations!

  10. What a wonderful blessing to welcome another baby girl into your home. She will be one lucky little girl to come home to wonderful sisters and great parents.

I am sure her brothers and sisters in heaven will be giving her some great advice to come to earth with.
