Another Apple to Fall from the Tree!!!

The girls are going to be big sisters to a little brother come December!!!  After having 2 miscarriages during the past 2 years this is another miracle for our family.  We are so excited and are especially excited that it is a BOY!!!!  It's going to be so different with a boy.  Thomas is excited to have more testosterone in the house.  I'm currently 12 weeks and we have already found out it's a boy by way of a blood test that can be done now to check for 3 different chromosomal abnormalities as well as the gender of the baby.  I'm happy to say that the baby has no down syndrome or other chromosomal abnormalities.  Seeing that I'm 38 years old that was a concern, but we have been richly blessed!  I do have a history of a incompetent cervix and will be getting a cerclage this Friday (June 26).  I had this same procedure done with the sextuplet pregnancy and with my pregnancy with Kayla.  We got Kayla safely here at 36 weeks, 5 days thanks to that cerclage.  Hoping to make it that far or further with this baby.
So far this pregnancy has been somewhat different from my last few.  I still have nausea, but its not as bad.  I have had different cravings then last time.  I have been wanting snow cones, popsicles and to chew on ice.  I don't really care for sweet stuff right now either which is very odd for me.  When these cravings started I knew we were having a boy.
I haven't done well at taking weekly belly pictures.  I keep telling my self to do it but then another week goes by and still have not had Thomas take a picture of me.  We did do pictures for our Facebook announcement.  So here they are:

Its hard to read the dark red letting on the picture, but it says "Another Stansel Apple to Fall from the tree..."

Last Day of Kindergarten for Rachel and Haley

The end of the school year has come and Rachel and Haley finished Kindergarten!  The school year flew by!  I'm proud of my girls!  They did good and have made some accomplishments despite the not so good teacher they had.  Yes Rachel and Haley have learning disabilities and their learning is slow, but they continue to learn little by little.  Rachel and Haley will be going to Summer school this Summer to help them continue to learn, specifically with potty training.  This has been a tough one for them.  But with continual working on it they will get it.  Just not sure how long it will take.  I'm assuming a couple of years or more.

Of course I took pictures on their last day and put it side by side with their first day of Kindergarten.  They sure have grown!

End of school year Celebration

Rachel and Haley's last day of school is June 4th, but on May 21st, their school had the Kindergarten end of the year awards and celebration program.  Rachel and Haley both got an award for "best smile" and they both got a certificate of completion of Kindergarten.  I'm thankful they have gotten through this school year as well as they have.  Due to the NOT so great teacher they had, this school year had some bumps.  I didn't blog about this since nothing was done by the school to get a different teacher.  I did talk to them and voiced my concerns.  But needless to say the teacher got herself fired early May and the girls had a substitute for the rest of the school year.  I am hoping they get a great teacher for 1st grade and will have a better school year for the 2015-2016 school year.

Here are the pictures of the award celebration program.

Bubbles!

On May 16 (Saturday), a day we finally had some sun after lots of rain we ventured outside and I took some impromptu pictures of the girls playing with bubbles.  They like bubbles!

*As you might notice in these pictures, Kayla no longer has her cast on.  She got her cast off back on April 27th.  I didn't get around to blogging about it.  We were so happy when she got it off!

Rachel wasn't being cooperative for pictures so I wasn't able to get a picture of her by herself.

Field Day

I'm playing catch up on my blog.  Sorry for the long hiatus.

Rachel and Haley had a field day at their school on May 8th, but due to the wet weather it was held in the school gym.  They had fun!  Rachel especially loved the parachute.  Here are the pictures I got of this event.

Bluebonnets 2015

Spring time is here!  And with the arrival of Spring so are the Texas Bluebonnets!  I really enjoy seeing the bluebonnets each year.  Its a common thing in Texas to take pictures among the bluebonnets.  So we did just that on April 4th.

Easter 2015

Easter came and went so fast this year.  We attended the annual beeping Easter egg hunt for children with blindness and low vision.  Unfortunately we were late and missed the Easter egg hunt.  But we did get a picture with the Easter bunnies and played some games.  Haley didn't have a good time.  She was scared of the loud music that was being played and Kayla was scared of the Easter bunnies.  We also went to our neighborhood Easter party that afternoon but I didn't take any pictures.

Rachel and Haley as well as Kayla had little Easter activities at school.  I didn't get to attend Rachel and Haley's so I don't have any pictures.  But I do know that they along with the Kindergarten classes had an Easter Egg hunt.  Kayla went to an Easter party through her preschool. They had lots of food and an Easter egg hunt.  We had to do a modified Easter egg hunt since she had her cast on.  She had fun despite it.

Easter day we went to Thomas's brother's house for dinner.   Here is a picture of the girls with their Easter baskets and gifts Easter morning.

We are so grateful for our Savior Jesus Christ and for the sacrifice he went through for us.  He lives!
