After blood cultures they determined it was Candida Albicans. She was treated with Fluconazole and Amphotericin B liposome, which we were told was easier on her liver than the regular Amphotericin. She was on meds for the infection for almost a month. I don't know that any of this information helps, but I thought I would send it your way. After spending nearly 6 months in the NICU we found any information offered was of great help. Prayers being sent up for your sweet family.
JanaThe Road Less Traveledhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13181529081887579961noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9145471442079731509.post-32711476504565002362009-11-02T19:50:56.599-06:002009-11-02T19:50:56.599-06:00I'm sure Ashlyn's nurses were doing the be...I'm sure Ashlyn's nurses were doing the best they could to treat Ashlyn when she had her yeast infection.

Sorry, it almost sounds like a backhanded comment about Ashlyn's nurses not catching the infection in time.Ericahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18042515655964904144noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9145471442079731509.post-1493186318179290642009-11-02T19:43:06.918-06:002009-11-02T19:43:06.918-06:00my first thought - OH NO!

She is now 5 pounds and stronger than ever, this helps too. I am very happy to know that little Rachel is in "cruise control." What a strong little one! The pictures are precious and both look cuter than ever. I trust that God will continue to pour blessings over your family. Your poor babies have suffered so much, I want so much for you to be able to take them home. Reading about how Thomas sang I Am A Child of God made me cry! I sing that to my little one all the time, and when she was younger sometimes that was the only way I could calm her down.
You are both so sweet and wonderful, your girls are so lucky. I hope to hear better news about miss Haley in the coming days!

Praying for you always,

Christina McKinneyChristina McKinneyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15923324504641844369noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9145471442079731509.post-56838353623971100492009-11-02T05:26:59.047-06:002009-11-02T05:26:59.047-06:00Praying for you all and that Haley recovers quickl...Praying for you all and that Haley recovers quickly to get off the medsshelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17042796981567409081noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9145471442079731509.post-77240734292187304612009-11-02T02:08:52.092-06:002009-11-02T02:08:52.092-06:00oh dear ! be strong amanda and thomas, i know tha...oh dear ! be strong amanda and thomas, i know that haley will pull through this......
lots of love and prayerstwinsplus3https://www.blogger.com/profile/08838493775994367252noreply@blogger.com
