Life's Ups and Downs

Life is full of surprises - good and bad!  Just when things were going along well here in the Stansel household - pow!  We get hit with an unexpected blow.  Thomas lost his job as a  medical sales representative last Friday.  It was a big shock and surprise to us.  We feel that the Lord will bless him with another opportunity.  The Lord has always been there for us and I know that something will come up.  If anyone has any connections or contacts in the medical sales field please let me know.  Life can throw curve balls at anytime, but life can also bring great surprises.  This past weekend we attended a surprise celebration for my Aunt Phyllis and Uncle Wayne who are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.  What a great milestone to accomplish.  It was wonderful to see them this past weekend and to see how happy they are. We truly love them and are grateful for them.  This past weekend we also spent time with our families.  We are so grateful for our family and are so glad to have them.  They are a great support for us.

  1. I hope Thomas finds another job very soon. I know how very, very stressful a job loss can be with childern and a mortgage.

I will be praying for Thomas.

  4. So sorry to hear that Thomas lost his job. Prayers that he finds another job soon. Remember, 'when one door closes, another door opens.' I pray that another (even better) door opens soon for Thomas & your family.

  5. It took me about three months, but I found another job. The best part is I am so much happier at this job and it is much more suited to what I should be doing. God is good--no door closes without a BETTER door opening! And take advantage of Thomas while he is there to help you out!

  6. Losing your job happens to everyone. Sorry to hear it has happened to you. In hind site with your girls in medically compromising situations maybe you will be eligible for extra monetary compensation. I have been out of work as a teacher for a year now. No job in site.

  8. Your girls are likely eligible for state insurance, just in case you weren't already aware of that. I hope he finds something too. My husband is also out of work and looking for a sales position (not medical).

  9. Your faith and strength is such a blessing to me!!! We will keep your family in our thoughts and prayers that something will work out.

I love seeing couples who are together and have endured the challenges and struggles of marriage and still remain strong and in love.
